We are very excited to share the wonderful results our graduates attained in the 2023 exams. We are very excited to share the wonderful results our graduates attained in the 2023 exams. 89% of our IB students exceeded the requirements of the IB Diploma and attained an average of 5.51 across all subjects. Out of 338 students that undertook the Advanced Placement (AP) exams, 90% attained a score of 3 or higher. Mean scores in all AP Math and Science subjects were over 4.

High school students taking the technology elective this year were introduced to the field of robotics. In six lessons, they became familiar with the basics of computer science, robotics hardware and software, and learned a programming language.

On May 27, American School Dhahran held the graduation ceremony of the class of 2023. There were 161 graduating seniors representing 30 different nationalities.

On May 18, ASD successfully hosted the first ever TEDx Youth conference at the new campus. This was the culmination of one year of dedicated effort, organized by a team of students led by senior Omar and advised by Mrs. Alicia Gerber.

Last Thursday, high school music students from ASD were fortunate to attend a dress rehearsal and Q&A session with a professional musical group from the United States, Jazz at Lincoln Center at Ithra, the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture.

The ASD Middle School Concert featured the Beginning Band performing their 2nd concert in front of an audience, demonstrating their improvement over just a few short months.

ASD High School celebrated the Athletics programme on Tuesday May 16. The majority of the high school was in attendance. The atmosphere and celebration was a lot of fun.

Congratulations to the ASD Basketball teams for winning gold in both the girls and boys U19 Basketball SAIKAC Tournament.
