ASD Wins Gold in U19 Basketball SAIKAC Tournament

Congratulations to the ASD Basketball teams for winning gold in both the girls and boys U19 Basketball SAIKAC Tournament.

The U19 Girls Basketball SAIKAC Tournament was held in Jeddah and ASD earned the gold for the second year in a row.  Our girls defeated KAUST, The American International School of Riyadh (AISR), and The American International School of Jeddah (AISJ).

Despite a hard final match with KAUST, ASD Girls played one of their best games with strong defense and good scoring.

The U19 Boys Basketball SAIKAC Tournament took place on the Dhahran campus, with five schools: ASD, ISG Jubail, AISR, AISJ and the KAUST School.

Each team played five games before the final.  ASD played against AISR and won first place after a tight game of 46-42.

ASD Girls were coached by Mr. Corey Edmondson and Ms. Ashlie Jensen. ASD Boys were coached by Mr. Mike Salings and Mr. Riley Worth, and ISG Jubail was coached by Mr. Derrick des Vignes.  Thank you to all our coaches for their efforts with our student athletes. Go Scorpions!
