ISG Superintendent's Message

Dear ISG Community,

It is my pleasure to announce that the search for a new principal for American School Dhahran and ISG Jubail has concluded.

Mr. Brent Wingers, currently principal at ISG Jubail, has been appointed the new principal at ASD, and Mrs. Sarah Dugan has been appointed the new principal at ISG Jubail. Mr. Wingers and Mrs. Dugan will begin their new roles on August 1, 2024.

Mr. Ronnie Caldwell, Principal at ASD, will be leaving ISG with his family after 12 years of service. He began his career at ISG at Yanbu International School in 2012 as a teacher and then as an Assistant Principal. He then joined Dhahran High School in 2015 as Assistant Principal, before becoming the ASD Principal in 2017.

We thank Mr. Caldwell for his service at ISG and we wish him and his family all the best. We look forward to welcoming Mr. Wingers and Mrs. Dugan into their new roles.

Over the past two weeks, we hosted Ms. Eva Cartwright at ISG, who worked with our Teaching Assistants (TAs) and teachers across the district to deliver valuable training. The goal of the Teaching Assistant Professional Development is to help our teachers, TAs and administrators understand the characteristics of an effective Teaching Assistant and to explore new and innovative ways to support student success and achievement.

Yesterday it was my pleasure to host 30 high school students from across our district at the first Superintendent's Student Advisory Committee meeting of this year. The group will be looking at how students learn best, the best study techniques our schools provide and how we can make positive changes to program delivery in our classrooms.
