Dear Parents,
Ramadan is a time when many take a pause from their busy lives, enjoy being close with family and friends and practice gratitude for all they are fortunate to have. I would like to wish all our families a happy and blessed Ramadan.
Please join me in congratulating Mr. David Bolton, BSD Principal, for being voted Saudi Arabia’s Country Representative for the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME). BSME is the largest dedicated network of British international schools in the Middle East and North Africa regions, and the role of the country representative is instrumental to the successful operation of the organization.
Recently, some of our students from ASD and BSD participated in the Canadian Senior and Intermediate Mathematics Contests (CSMC and CIMC). An ASD student was named CIMC Medal Champion, and three ASD students were CSMC School Medal Champions. ISG Dammam students participated in the American Mathematics Competition (AMC). Four students placed in the top ten across the country of Saudi Arabia: Two students placed 3rd, while one placed 4th and one placed 5th. On March 11, 2023, ASD also hosted the annual ISG Intra-Kingdom Mathematics Competition. Students from ASD, BSD and ISG Dammam competed in a full day of team and individual contests. Students from BSD placed first and second place, while an ISG Dammam student came in third. BSD took the top team award for both the junior and senior divisions. Congratulations to these wonderful mathematicians.

I would like to remind you that the Eid break has been extended to include April 26 and 27. Schools will be closed between April 19 and April 29, and will reopen on April 30.
