Good Morning ASD.
I hope you all had a great weekend. Hopefully you took part in something that you found fulfilling or growth inducing. This weekend I spent time planning a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. (Yes, I love DnD). I had two painful workouts that made me wonder why I pay a trainer to feel that way, but I am getting stronger. We had a wonderful gathering of friends at the house. Lots of eating and lots of laughter ensued. Then I recorded a podcast for a leadership training cohort I am a part of and afterwards proceeded to calendar my week of meetings and observations. When I logged all of these activities in order to take stock of the time commitment it came out to just over 10 hours. If my weekend started at 5 pm on Thursday that means 10 hours of 55 hour weekend.
We might sometimes find it helpful to track our time this way. It allows us a different perspective on how busy we might actually be. The time we have to put toward pursuits that we value becomes a bit more visible. We might find time to pursue growth not just within our obligations, but also within those activities that bring us joy. How are you currently using your time to grow in different areas of your life?
As always, the advice is free and you don't have to take it.
