Please note: Ministry of Education requirements can change without notice.
To enroll your child in school in Saudi Arabia, it is necessary to first gain approval from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ministry of Education (MOE). ASD cannot enroll students on a visit or business visa (we can assess students on a visit visa). ASD will not enroll any student before receiving all MOE approval required documents.
I. Abroad transfers (school outside the Kingdom)
Applicants will need to submit:
- Iqamas, passports, employment letter from the guardian’s company
- Ministry of Education form for non-Saudi students or
- Ministry of Education form for Saudi students
- end-of-year report card attested by the Saudi Consulate/Embassy in the country from where the report card/transcript was issued
II. Aramco transfers (not required for U.S. nationals)
Applicants will need to submit:
- Iqamas, passports, employment letter from the guardian’s company
- Ministry of Education form for non-Saudi students or
- Ministry of Education form for Saudi students
- last year + current year’s transcripts attested by the Ministry of Education in Riyadh
III. Local transfers (school in the Kingdom)
Applicants will need to submit:
- Iqamas, passports, employment letter from the guardian’s company
- Ministry of Education form for non-Saudi students or
- Ministry of Education form for Saudi students
- end-of-year report card stamped by the school + leaving certificate + Noor certificate
Current exemptions to report attestation
- Children who are US passport holders do not need their report cards attested.
- Children applying to Kindergarten 1, Kindergarten 2 and Grade 1 do not require their report cards attested.

Medical Documents for Enrollment
Medical clearance for enrollment is issued by the ISG Nurses’ Office.
To obtain clearance to start school, the following forms and vaccination records (from birth) must be submitted to the Nurses’ Office.
- ISG Health Inventory
- ISG Medical Form (must be signed and stamped by a medical doctor)
- Vaccination records since birth
